Cruelty-Free and Vegan Skincare Buys to add to your Skincare Routine

Cruelty-Free and Vegan Skincare Buys to add your Skincare Routine

I recently went on a skincare haul! I was literally running out of cleanser, moisturizer, SPF and a few other items. I made a mental note to myself when I would run low on these items, that I would invest and research on products that are cruelty free, contains more organic and fresh ingredients, and to find products that will be kinder to my skin. Plus, I am a bunny owner and so there’s extra motivation to support products that are also cruelty free.

Trying to go toxin-free has been a challenge in our household because we are used to truly reading ingredients and understanding what goes into our bodies when it comes to our skincare, shampoo, body lotion, etc. I didn’t grow up in a household where that mattered truthfully. In my parents defense how could they have known when today we have quick access to so many resources. As I have gotten older, I am learning now how much toxins affect our bodies when they enter our bloodstream. Which is why last year, we started switching out our plastic tupperware to glass, and stopped buying plastic and use a Brita filter pitcher. I believe we still have ways to go to perfect our drinking water but for now, the fact that we no longer buy plastic bottles is a huge step. It brings me peace knowing that I am not contributing to the thousands of plastic bottles that go to our waste every year.

Retinol and Vitamin C

I had never used Retinol or Vitamin C before, but have used products that have contained portions of it. However, after doing my research, a lot of people have reported better and younger looking skin when they used the sole ingredients of retinol and Vitamin C versus it being mixed it with other components.

I have to admit I am very excited to share these products with you today because I have been using these for a few weeks and my skin feels clean and smooth. I have this profound reassurance that I am on my way to better looking skin this year!

Investing in Skincare can be costly (yep- but not mine)

Beauty products and skincare can be SO expensive. Personally, I can’t be investing hundreds on one product alone, especially if I plan to use these product longer term I want to be able to find products that fit within my budget. I’m happy to report that I spent about $150 plus taxes on ALL of these items TOTAL! Yes you read that right. My FULL SKINCARE ROUTINE cost less altogether versus spending hundreds on only one product.
