Visiting Bonton Farms in Dallas
We ran out of vegetables!
So Ivan and I decided to shop local and head over to Bonton Farms , located South of Dallas, to grab some fresh veggies. I had heard about Bonton Farms through Instagram, and kept it in the back of my mind as a place I would like to visit one day. Since we have spent the most time at home, we find ourselves cooking a lot more (which is a good thing!), and therefore trying to eat healthier and support local when we can.
Bonton Farms is a nonprofit organization purposely placed within a community in South Dallas to help give back and also provide better nutrition to the community. When we arrived at Bonton farms, we were greeted by the friendliest staff! There was not a lot of people when we arrived, but when we left, it seemed to have picked up just a bit. We wore our masks, took precautions and treated our visit to the farm as a visit to the grocery store, where we get what we need and head out (with the exception of looking around the garden where we were not surrounded by people). Sharing a few photos of our visit, in which I hope it motivates you to gather your family and take a trip to the farm!
Asides from shopping local and supporting a local organization, I enjoyed seeing all the vegetables and fruit that was growing and ready to be picked! There were a lot of peppers, cucumbers, squash, and tomatoes. Everything looked well taken care of and of course, fresh!
We brought home a few peaches! Peaches apparently is the fruit of the Summer, and you should start seeing peaches in your own local grocery stores.

I hope you enjoyed this quick tour of our visit at Bonton Farms! I will definitely go back and to enjoy a little farm to market style foods that they also offer here. Cheers friends!
