Happy North Texas Giving Day!
Every year, non-profit organizations in North Texas prepare for North Texas Giving Day to encourage their communities to donate to their cause. Non-profit organizations are essential to the communities, as many families have turned to them for affordable or free services at times in need. North Texas Giving Day is designed to empower these organizations to get creative, have fun, and gather as many donations as they can with an easy online transaction.
Giving back to the community is in my DNA. From my first job, to my studies, to my passion for helping others through my work, or connecting with the community through this blog… giving back by providing your time, or donations matter. How North Texas Giving Day Began
In 2009, Communities Foundation of Texas created North Texas Giving Day as a tool to help donors find local nonprofits to support their cause. Fast forward 11 years later, this celebration is a model for giving days around the globe.
Why Nonprofits should Participate?
Raise Money Efficiently & Learn Tools to Apply Year Round
Most non-profits spend less than 20 hours on the North Texas Giving Day campaign, and with their efforts (and available assistance/trainings that the campaign provides to apply year round) profits were more effective on this day in comparison to individual efforts.
Get Exposure and Recruit New Volunteers
NorthTexasGivingDay.org provides a comprehensive list of organizations that audiences can search for and donate. The campaign and efforts made by participating organizations, can apply the tactics they learn to this campaign and will see a gain on new audiences and potentially new interest of volunteers.
Increase Brand Visibility
During the campaign, North Texas Giving away and it’s team provide media exposure which include print, radio, social and other areas of marketing, to share nonprofit stories with the public to amplify their cause.
