It's Monday! I'm still on that NYFW high but all the excitement and things going on. New York itself is such a great and dynamic city to visit. Even without Fashion Week, there is always something going on and if your like me, you admire the hustle and bustle. Since I landed in New York Thursday, I too felt the hustle. I went to New York with agenda and mission to accomplish more than last year. Last year was an observational visit, and I was scared to go to shows alone. I had no idea what I was doing, but this year I felt much better. A part of me still didn't know, at times, what I was doing... but I understood much better how fashion week works and how to prioritize. I spoke about my experience last year with this blog post: What I learn from New York Fashion Week Last Year
In no particular order, here are the looks that I wore while at Fashion Week!
New York Fashion Week Outfits Recap
Outfit 1
For me, New York Fashion Week is not only about the overall experience of being immersed with other fashion creatives, but also to test and try out new outfits of my own. This turban headband by Headbands of Hope is a style I have always wanted to try but never have the courage. I owned every piece of the rest of this outfit except for the body suit by Wear Commando. The turban headband really made all the difference!

I didn’t except to add this dress into my wardrobe until I attended the Lulu’s party! I met so many of the bloggers that I look up to such as Dani Austin, and Color me Courtney. From the Lulu’s collection I picked this dress which you can find here and earrings.

Outfit 3
I wore this look the second day that I was in New York! The only piece that I purchased to complete this look were the sunglasses and tank. I had everything else in my closet! The feathered skirt that I got from Express, was one that I had purchased about 3 years ago and wore for Diner en Blanc. I was so happy to reuse it again after several years!

Outfit 4
I totally channeled my inner hippie vibes with this look! I believe what really brought this look together was the sunglasses, which grabbed several photographers attention this year. My attempt for this look was to wear the headband in this style (Headbands of Hope), and try out these bronze colored leggings by Wear Commando. Once again, styling items I’ve always wanted to try and wear to see how it looked.

Outfit 5
In all honesty, I didn’t get to wear this outfit entirely. For instance, I did wear the heels, I did wear the hat and faux fur vest. I used the purse the whole time I was in New York, but didn’t get to wear these pants and top all together. I wore this look for a bit while around town, but didn’t make it at the shows. So I might wear it sometime in Dallas! It was my back up outfit, so regardless I hope this is an outfit inspiration.

Outfit 6
I wore this on the last day! It was already chilly and definitely gloomy, but this type of weather offers great lighting! I layered the faux fur vest that I wore in my previous photos with my faux leather jacket. As you can tell, I like to restyle my outfits as many times as I can to give it some new life.

Showing you a sneak peek of an outfit I wore for a diversity photoshoot I had Sunday morning! The only purchase I made to complete this look was the faux leather skirt! Everything else I already had!
